This was the first time I had dealt with Gate Expectations. The service was good with an easily navigated web site. Shipment was on time, communication clear and precise, and the product price was competitive. The hinges themselves seem very well made and robust. I have fitted them this morning - was very simple and straightforward.
All in all am happy and would recommend this company.
We found the adjustable hook and band gate hinges to be excellent. One suggestion is to offer hinge pins with an extended pin support bracket. The hinges are designed for gate/door and posts to be in the same plane. We needed to fix to posts where the large heavy doors were fitted on the outside of the posts. We had to fit packing pieces to bring the pin bracket into line with the doors.
I bought this as additional support to hibges already in place and it was easy to fit and works well.
Good quality at a great price and arrive next day.

Generations of craftsmanship
We take make your gates to the size required?
Our methods are tried and trusted over three generations of craftsmen, who were all skilled carpenters and joiners, and we still use some of those original techniques in our work today. Why? Because they give a better, longer lasting, higher quality result then you get from many mass-produced, off the shelf products.
Every item we make is carefully measured to ensure it’s the perfect fit, and made from strong, solid wood which won’t twist or warp over time. Our doors are secured using mortice and tenon joints which are fixed using wedges and glue. It’s old school, but it works, and it really is the best.
From gates to garage doors, everything we produce is handmade with the same level of care and attention, whether it’s a made to measure product or a bespoke commission. If you’ve got something more specific in mind, then please share your ideas with us. We’re always up for a challenge, and we’d like to think that if you can sketch it, we can make it. But we’re also open and honest with our customers, so if it just can’t be done then we’ll also be up front and tell you that.
We deliver to the UK mainland and offshore, so if you’re not local to Wales that’s not a problem.

As qualified joiners, we take a pride in every piece of work we produce and we’re happy to say that we’re British Woodworking Federation (BWF) Code of Conduct Assured. The BWF check our references and conduct rigorous inspections of our work, as well as our personal qualifications.
